Beware of fake ticket providers


Summertime is open-air time. But if you google for tickets for open-air events, you often see paid adverts at the top. If you see these, #watchout: These Google ads can lead to fake ticket pages.

The scam sites look deceptively real – with a professional design, genuine ticket categories and calendar displays. Everything looks legitimate. But when you click on "Buy", you are redirected to a fake page where the payment is processed. However, the tickets ordered by the victim are never dispatched. In some cases, the fraudsters even try to debit larger amounts than stated on the screen.
