Card Security becomes Pay Attent!on

Today we are turning a new page: The Card Security Association is becoming the Pay Attent!on Association. Debit and credit card issuers, banks and the police are all behind this new name. From 2027, under the Pay Attent!on umbrella, we will work together to raise public awareness of the various forms of fraud across the entire spectrum of cashless payments – from debit and credit cards to online banking and TWINT.

08.09.2026 –

With this move, the industry associations SwissDebitPay, the Swiss Payment Association and the Swiss Bankers Association, as well as Swiss Crime Prevention, are combining resources to lift the prevention of payment fraud to the next level.

Together, we are pursuing a clear goal: To protect people even more effectively against phishing, scams and other fraudulent schemes, and to successfully strengthen confidence in cashless payments.

The first nationally coordinated campaigns are planned for 2027. Until then, the established prevention campaigns run by Card Security, EBAS and Swiss Crime Prevention will continue.

We look forward to working together to configure this new chapter and actively help shape the future of fraud prevention – to make payments safer and to protect the public.
