Better protection against fake calls


Fraudsters call pretending to be the police, authorities or banks - a well-known trick. And often with a fake Swiss telephone number. New rules came into force in 2026.

17.02.2026 –

So-called "call spoofing" leads to hundreds of cases of fraud every week. Since January 2026, calls with spoofed numbers have been systematically labelled or blocked by providers. This applies to calls that display a Swiss landline number. Starting in July 2026, the same will also apply to mobile numbers.
