Scamming: fraudsters target gamers


Smartphones games are popular. They are attractive to fraudsters, too. What are known as scammers target players and try to steal their money or personal data with perfidious scams. They lure their victims with offers that are too good to be true.

For example, they offer you unlimited game downloads for little money. If you pay the fee, at best you'll never hear anything again. In the worse case, you’ll receive a link to a platform where illegal pirated games are offered. These are often riddled with malware that can infect your devices and open the door for fraudsters to steal your money or data.
