Protect yourself with these tips:

Avoid e-banking, online shopping and confidential e-mails when using a public WLAN.
Encrypt and protect your data by using a VPN (Virtual Private Network).
Where possible, activate the two-factor authentication for important accounts to ensure additional security.
Only use secure websites: These begin with "https://" and display a lock or key symbol in the address bar.
Deactivate the function that automatically connects your device to unknown networks.
