In fake shops they present an extensive range of attractive products, which are ideal as Christmas presents for our loved ones. Their approach is particularly sophisticated: Rare designer pieces, sought-after electronic items or limited-edition trainers are all available at attractive prices. But only for payment in advance. The rude awakening comes afterwards. The goods are never delivered, and your money is well and truly gone.
It’s not easy to spot fake shops at first glance. On the contrary! Their presentation is often highly professional. Therefore watch out for the following features before purchasing:
- Use only secure websites for online purchases (https://).
- Use only those online shops that have a seal of approval, e.g. the "Trusted Shops" label.
- Check the trader's general terms and conditions.
- Do not make any payments in advance.
