#Watchout when parking: phishing trap


The QR codes displayed on parking machines for paying parking fees offer a great deal of convenience – simply scan the QR code, enter your parking time and pay conveniently online. The latest phishing scam shows: caution is advised when scanning codes.

There have already been several cases of fake QR codes stuck to parking machines to mislead victims when paying for parking. The codes lead to a phishing website that attempts to obtain credit card information. The police always recommend checking whether the QR code has been stuck on properly. To be on the safe side, it is best to use the provider's app to pay for parking.
