Phishing cases on the rise


Phishing is currently experiencing a real boom. As shown by the police crime statistics for 2024 which were published on 24 March 2025.

28.03.2025 –

Compared to the previous year, the number of phishing cases has risen by a staggering 56.2 per cent. A total of 5,930 offences were registered in this area alone. The number of unreported cases is probably several times higher.

For over ten years, Card Security has been committed to ensuring that users of debit and credit cards on the Internet and in shops are aware of the most important security precautions and are safe when travelling. This year's campaign starts on 14 May 2025.
