06.10.2023 –

Good to know:

Before departure:
Check and adjust the payment limits and geographical settings (geoblocking) of your card.

Withdrawing cash:
When abroad, prefer ATMs inside bank buildings - ideally during opening hours

Pay in local currency:
Always choose the local currency when making card payments abroad. The currency conversion by your card issuer is transparent and will be performed at an attractive exchange rate

Carry cash in the local currency:
Also take some cash in the local currency. This can sometimes be quite useful.

And finally the most important thing:
Checking: After you get back home, check your transactions carefully, and if you find any suspicious debits report them to your bank immediately.

Protect yourself from card misuse.
