14.05.2024 –Their goal is always the same: They want money. In pursuit of this, they create fake profiles with stolen or invented identities. They are professionals; they know exactly how to gain the trust of their victims. And at some point they find themselves in need of money. Often very urgently albeit only temporarily. Anyone who makes a transfer by credit card or debit card or makes a bank payment will never see their money again.
Caution:
- Do not transfer money to unknown persons.
- Check out your online dates: Search for that person on the Internet and check the details in the profile.
- Upload a profile picture/contact photo to Google Image Search (Google Images) and find out if it really is this person.
