The national police prevention campaign against phishing starts today. The focus here is on credit card and debit card fraud.
29.05.2024 –In phishing, fraudsters contact their victims by e-mail, text message or telephone to obtain personal data such as credit card or debit card information, in order to steal your money. If you take a few precautions, you can protect yourself against card fraud.
- Distrust messages from unknown senders.
- Never click on links, never open attachments.
- Always check the sender’s e-mail address and URL.
- Log in only via official websites (not via links).
- Keep your web browser and operating system up-to-date.
- Never give out login and card data.
- Use strong passwords and two-factor authentication.
- Activate a notification service to receive a message when payments are made.
- Check your transactions and payments.
Test your knowledge and take part in the big competition until 26 June 2024.
Participants will be entered into a draw to win an online shopping voucher worth CHF 1000.
