Caution - Phishing!

The national police prevention campaign against phishing starts today. The focus here is on credit card and debit card fraud.

In phishing, fraudsters contact their victims by e-mail, text message or telephone to obtain personal data such as credit card or debit card information, in order to steal your money. If you take a few precautions, you can protect yourself against card fraud.

• Distrust messages from unknown senders.
• Never click on links, never open attachments.
• Always check the sender’s e-mail address and URL.
• Log in only via official websites (not via links).
• Keep your web browser and operating system up-to-date.
• Never give out login and card data.
• Use strong passwords and two-factor authentication.
• Activate a notification service to receive a message when payments are made.
• Check your transactions and payments.
