17.12.2024 –There is a villa in the small town of Amersfoort in the Netherlands. It has no owner, but over 450 companies are registered at its address. These include dozens of online shops with .ch domains that sell clothing, accessories and more. The dubious websites use the dropshipping model, in which orders are sent directly from the manufacturer or wholesaler to the customer. But beware: the quality of the goods delivered is usually unsatisfactory.
So, we can learn from this that .ch domain does not always mean Swiss quality. Follow these tips for safe Christmas shopping:
- Only buy from trustworthy retailers with the "Trusted Shops" label.
- For .ch domains, also check the registered office on the website or on Google Maps.
- Verify entries on rating platforms.
- Check the trader's general terms and conditions.
- Do not make any payments in advance.
