17.07.2025 –Card apps offer various options for restricting payment functions. For example, online or contactless payments can be activated or deactivated. Geoblocking is another security option that blocks fraudulent transactions originating from abroad.

Stick a post-it note on your passport to remind you to check the geographical settings on your card before travelling abroad. If you have any questions, the card issuer will be happy to help.
