09.07.2024 –These and similar offers are currently being promoted with eye-catching adverts on Facebook. Real farms in the surrounding area are shown in the ads to create a particularly credible effect. However, this is a scam. Anyone who falls for this also falls into a subscription trap in which a large amount of money is charged to your credit card every fortnight.
How to protect yourself from fake adverts:
- Always scrutinise offers that are too good to be true. If necessary, even call the provider.
- Always check the URL: Is it really the website of the supposed provider?
- Read the offer and payment conditions carefully: How much do I really pay?
