13.02.2024 –- When booking your trip, use only trustworthy platforms and travel companies.
- Check that the website and the quoted dealare genuine (e.g. Trusted Shop) and when making payment, use only secure payment pages:
- Use the geo-blocking function and activate the card only for the countries you are visiting. After you return from your trip, don't forget to block the countries you visited.
- Activate 2-factor authentication for your card. This means you must personally reconfirm every payment. Any instance of theft will then show up immediately.
- Do not surf public WLAN networks, and make payments only when you have secure VPN access.
