Better protection thanks to 2-factor authentication


2FA sounds complicated – but it’s one of the easiest ways to secure your online payments.

In addition to your card details, you need a second form of identification, for example an SMS-TAN, an app confirmation or biometrics such as a fingerprint. This is often used via 3D Secure (e.g. Verified by Visa or Mastercard Identity Check).

Why 2FA? Even if your card details fall into the wrong hands, the second factor prevents misuse.

In short: 2FA makes online payments secure.
